The Carlos Nadal evening at Bonhams 30th August 2011, brought together a host collectors and admirers of Carlos Nadal’s work to view a exceptional collection of his paintings and to listen to guest speakers delivering insight and personal remembrances on his life as an artist.

Layla Bloom, curator at Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery, University of Leeds, and John Dunclafe, Nadal’s British representative and close friend, discussed the significance of Nadal both in terms of his historical artistic context and his lasting visual impact today.

This was supplemented by video footage, in which the artist’s son, Alex Nadal, offered his own response to his father’s creative life and work.

This event served to further raise the profile and awareness of Carlos Nadal, and emphasise his place an artist within the canon of renowned Modern artists today.
